Guest Parking

There is limited metered street parking available along University Boulevard and Westbrook Mall. We suggest using one of the following parkades:

Prepaid Parking

We can work with UBC parking to provide you with a solution that you can share with your guests to validate their parking through Honk Mobile.

This package Includes two alternatives you can send to your guests for them to validate their parking according to their preference.

  1. You can share a Honk Zone ID number with them that they can enter in their Honk Mobile App to validate parking. Each guest choosing this option will require a Honk Mobile account and the app (if they don’t do it in their desktop).
  1. You can share a QR code with your guests which they can scan with their phones and follow the prompts to validate parking. Honk accounts and mobile apps are not required for this option.

This is a pre-purchased solution and the cost per vehicle depends on the lot that they use.

  • University Blvd Lot, located right next to the Robert H. Lee Alumni Centre is designed for short term parking to service the University Commons, the price rate is the highest on campus at  $37.50 after 6pm and weekends $50.00 before 6pm on weekdays. Parking Tax and GST of 30.2% will be added to the total. Pricing is subject to change.
  • The North and Health Science Lots, located within a five minute walk of the Robert H.  Lee Alumni Centre offers a more economic pre paid event cost of $12.50 after 6pm and weekends or $25 before 6pm on weekdays. Parking Tax and GST of 30.2% will be added to the total. Pricing is subject to change.

Reserved Option – There is a minimum purchase of 10 vehicles to use this option.

  • Reserved spaces | If you ever need to reserve just a few spaces anywhere on campus, the cost is $60+tax per vehicle.
  • Buyouts North – level $3750 Health Science – level $4000.

We can order the parking option that you would like from UBC parking and send you the details to share with your guests/vendors. The rental amount for parking will be added to your final bill with us.

We require a minimum of 10 business days prior to your event to secure the parking option that you require. UBC parking will not work directly with event clients. If using the Honk ID or QR code option you the client are 100% responsible with how you distribute and manage the code, you will be charged for every time the code or ID is used.

Valet Parking

The Robert H. Lee Alumni Centre is proud to partner with Park Avenue Valets Ltd. Park Avenue Valets will work with UBC Parking Services on your behalf, organize all the logistics, and provide exemplary service and added convenience for your guests. They provide:

  • uniformed, trained and professional valets
  • all valet parking signage
  • all valet parking equipment, including ticket stubs and locking key boxes
  • complete insurance coverage (ICBC Liability Insurance and General Liability Insurance).

Accessibility

Ground level access or ramp access allows you to enter through any of our three main floor doors. We have two elevators allowing access to any of our four floors. There aren’t any barriers for entry into any of our rooms or offices. Our modular performance stage doesn’t have a ramp; if required, the event host must arrange to have one brought in. We don’t have onsite closed captioning software but we can recommend some great local suppliers that can work with you to obtain your accessible event goals.
